The Apocalypse of John: Course Goals
1) To understand the book of Revelation within the context of Jewish-Christian apocalyptic writings.
2) To explore the 1st century social, political, and religious setting for the book of Revelation.
3) To become more aware of the use & influence of Revelation in history, culture, art, & politics.
4) To examine the story and theology of Revelation with a view toward its value and challenge for the contemporary church’s proclamation.
