Helpful Advice:

The most useful thing that you can do to prepare for the Summer Greek program is to review the basics of English grammar.  Those that struggle with learning Greek tend to do so because they do not have a good grasp of English grammar or of grammatical terms; thus, they are trying to learn two languages at once: Greek and English.

I urge you to take this advice seriously. Greek grammar is complex; the more you understand English grammar, the easier it will be for you to learn Greek.  You don't need to start learning Greek before you get here; we will take care of the Greek together.  But do all you can to learn the terms of English grammar; it will make the summer more pleasant and more productive for you.

Whether you use a printed grammar (see "Helpful Advice") or one of the online resources recommended here, I suggest that you become acquainted (or reacquainted) with the following terms and concepts of English grammar:
