BI533: Paul in the Lectionary

Course Objectives:

1. To explore and better comprehend the potential and the challenge in preaching from the Pauline and Deutero-Pauline texts of the Revised Common Lectionary 
2. To sharpen skills in exegeting these epistolary texts with an eye toward proclamation of Law and Gospel 
3. To develop greater skill and confidence in moving from these texts to preaching  

4. To practice deliberately collegial and communal exegesis and theological / homiletical reflection
