Electronic New Testament Educational Resources (E.N.T.E.R.)
A very helpful collection of original material and extensive links, by Dr. Felix Just
of Loyola Marymount University.

Resource Pages for Biblical Studies
A long list of links to other sites and electronically published scholarship. Maintained 
by Professor Torrey Seland of Norway's Volda University College.

Society of Biblical Literature
A good entry into scholarly resources for biblical study.

The Catholic Biblical Association
Another good resource for scholarly approaches to biblical study.

Glossary of terms related to Judaism 

The Bible: The Book that Bridges the Millennia
A great site from the United Methodist Church, this is a very well-constructed introduction
to the Bible, the history of its writing and formation, interpretation and authority.

The Development of the Canon of the New Testament
A very well designed site which includes a very helpful chart of various early church
leaders and documents, which books they included in the collection, with links to the
appropriate passages where that information is found.

5 Gospel Parallels
The four canonical gospels plus the Gospel of Thomas in parallel columns.

Crucifixion in Antiquity
An illustrated article by Joe Zias, retired curator of Archaeology for the
Israel Antiquities Authority.

Roman Rulers
From Rutgers, a chart of Roman emperors coordinated with the names and terms of Roman
rulers in Judea and Galilee.

Language and text Tools:

Greek New Testament Concordance
A very easy-to-use concordance for the Greek New Testament (NA 26). 
This will also help you identify and parse words (when you just can't 
figure out that form).

Perseus Project Morphological analysis 
Enter the Greek word in English letters, and this tool will identify the form.

Liddell-Scott Lexicon
The standard Greek-English lexicon for Greek literature.

Grammar of Septuagint Greek
Written by F.C. Conybeare in 1905.

Syntax of the Moods and Tenses in New Testament Greek, 3rd edition
Ernest de Witt Burton's 1898 book is still useful.

Crosswalk.com
20 English translations, plus the Vulgate. This site also includes the early church fathers,
searchable in English.

Biblegateway

A collection of 19 English texts  with a concordance tool.

Olive Tree
A collection of 16 English translations plus 4 other languages, with a concordance tool.
The English texts here are fine, but be careful NOT to use the Greek text (it is outdated).

The Unbound Bible
10 English translations, plus Greek, Hebrew, dictionaries, and a "Greek Parser."

New English Translation
A new translation designed to be distributed via the internet. Includes notes on the 
Greek and Hebrew words, and reasons for translational decisions.

Corinth Computer Project
An ongoing effort to map the city and region of ancient Corinth. This site includes a
360-degree view of the Corinthian agora.

Panoramic view around Ephesus
 
Metis
A project from the University of Texas at Austin. Contains panoramic views
and site plans for a number of ancient Greek cities, including Athens and 
Corinth.

Links to a massive collection of Christian art in churches, cathedrals, monestaries and museums around the world, including the Vatican Museum. 

The Text This Week: Art Concordance
A good selection of online artwork associated with Biblical texts, people, events, etc.

Eikon Image Database at Yale
A collection of images related to NT & Church history.

The Ecole Initiative
A large collection of links to on-line documents and artwork relating to early church history.

The Web Gallery of Art
A large collection of artwork, mainly Medieval & Renaissance European. Use the search option to look for artwork associated with Biblical authors or events.
 
Wood Cuts from Pitts Library
A collection of 15th and 16th century wood cuts from the Pitts Library at Candler Divinity School. This site includes a search tool based on biblical references.

Textual Criticism:

Interpreting Ancient Texts
A very useful site which explains the practice and history of textual criticism, and the various reasons for variant readings. It also includes images of several manuscripts and a fun English exercise in textual criticism. This is the place to
start!

A Student's Guide to NT Textual Variants
An introduction to textual criticism, plus a discussion of a many of the 
most significant textual variants in the NT. Use this site like textual 
commentary.

The Encyclopedia of New Testament Textual Criticism

A Complete List of NT Papyri
Includes Aland's categories for each manuscript.

University of Michigan Papyrus collection
A searchable set of images from one of the world's largest papyrus collection, with images of the papyri and translations.

Papyri Images
Links to a number of images of LXX and NT manuscripts.
